04:00 AM EDT, 04/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- California Water Service Group ( CWT ) reiterated late Thursday its commitment to invest $215 million in the treatment of per- and polyfluorinated substances, or PFAS.
The decision comes after the California Public Utilities Commission dismissed the group's request to modify a previously approved PFAS-expense memorandum account, to include capital-related costs for the financial recovery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
The group said its subsidiary, Cal Water, plans to reapply to track costs through the regulatory process.
