02:11 PM EDT, 07/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- JD.com ( JD ) is among the companies planning to bid for UK-based parcel delivery company Evri, Reuters reported Tuesday, citing two people familiar with the matter.

JD.com ( JD ) has reached the second stage of bidding as it submitted a nonbinding offer last month, the people said, Reuters reported.

Potential buyers include InPost and Alibaba Group's ( BABA ) Cainiao, the people reportedly said.

JD.com ( JD ), Evri, InPost and Cainiao did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
