MEXICO CITY, Oct 22 (Reuters) - The Mexican stock
exchange said on Tuesday it was lifting the trading suspension
of Grupo Elektra, owned by tycoon Ricardo Salinas, after three
months.
In July, the stock exchange suspended trading of shares in
Grupo Elektra, after the company reported it had
received information from its controlling group regarding a
possible fraud by depositaries of their shares.
"... this Stock Exchange lifts the referred suspension as of
today, October 22, 2024," the stock exchange said.
In September, retailer Elektra lost its spot in the main
S&P/BMV IPC index, and got replaced by La Comer, after its
trading suspension.
