07:26 AM EDT, 07/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Shares of US liquefied natural gas producers surged in Monday's premarket trading after the European Union agreed to purchase $250 billion worth of LNG annually over the next three years as part of a new trade deal with the US.
Venture Global ( VG ) , Cheniere Energy (LNG), and NextDecade ( NEXT ) each climbed more than 5% in premarket activity. EQT (EQT) gained more than 1%, while Expand Energy ( EXE ) rose almost 1%.
The agreement is expected to secure long-term LNG supply for Europe while strengthening demand for US exports across key producers.
