European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Lower in Friday Trading

11:32 AM EDT, 10/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were modestly lower late Friday morning, declining 0.34% to 1,588.38 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index, which is down about 0.68% for the week.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by 3D printer Materialise (MTLS) and biopharmaceutical firm DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) , which climbed 9.9% and 7.6% respectively. They were followed by biotech firm Evaxion ( EVAX ) and semiconductor company Sequans Communications ( SQNS ) , which advanced 4.9% and 3% respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by telecommunications companies Nokia ( NOK ) and Telefonica ( TEF ) , which fell 3.8% and 2.6% respectively. They were followed by biotech firm BioNTech (BNTX) and lender ING Group (ING), which were down 1.7% and 1.6% respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical companies NuCana ( NCNA ) and Amarin ( AMRN ) , which increased 6.3% and 2.9% respectively. They were followed by medical device maker Smith & Nephew ( SNN ) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) , which rose 2.7% and 2.3% respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by Bicycle Therapeutics ( BCYC ) and insurance company Prudential (PUK), which fell 6.5% and 2.2% respectively. They were followed by communications company WPP ( WPP ) , which lost 1.9%.
