It's been two weeks since Centre relaxed several lockdown norms in a bit to gradually open up the economy - but have those measures worked?

CNBC-TV18’s Shereen Bhan discussed with Dipak Haksar, chairman - Tourism & Hospitality, CII National Committee, Arjun Sharma, chairman of Select Group, BS Nagesh, chairman of RAI and founder of TRRAIN, and Anurag Katriar, president, NRAI and CEO of deGustibus Hospitality.

Retail and the hospitality sectors have been two of the biggest casualties of the lockdown. According to a survey by the retailers association of India, 70 percent expect business recovery in over six months. The sector has sought the government's intervention in order to help them tide over the financial crisis.

Restaurants also haven't really seen signs of a recovery. The Federation of Hotel and Restaurants Association of India pegs losses for the sector at around Rs 90,000 crore. The National Restaurant Association says that only 10-15 percent of restaurants had opened on June 8, and several are closing again.
