AES Extends Consent Solicitations for Senior Notes

10:54 AM EDT, 03/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- AES ( AES ) said Monday it is amending and extending the solicitations of consent from registered holders of its 5.450% senior notes due 2028, 3.950% senior notes due 2030, 2.450% senior notes due 2031 and 5.800% senior notes due 2032 to adopt certain proposed amendments to the indentures governing the notes.

The company said it was extending the expiration time for consent solicitations to 5:00 pm ET on March 18, raising the consent fee payable to holders who validly grant consents before the expiration time from $1.00 per $1,000 principal amount to $2.50, and revising the definition of "Permitted Holders."

AES ( AES ) said holders who have previously granted consents are also eligible to receive the higher consent fee.
