Agilent Technologies Completes Acquisition of BIOVECTRA

12:03 PM EDT, 09/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Agilent Technologies ( A ) completed its acquisition of contract development and manufacturing organization BIOVECTRA with closing conditions met, including regulatory approvals.

BIOVECTRA, based in Charlottetown, Price Edward Island, Canada, joins the diagnostics and genomics group, expanding CDMO services and enhancing capabilities in gene editing. Agilent ( A ) said Friday in a statement.

Agilent ( A ) announced the $925 million acquisition on July 22.

The transaction is expected to be $0.05 dilutive to non-GAAP earnings per share in the first year with a double-digit return on invested capital by the fifth year, Agilent ( A ) said.

Shares of Santa Clara, California-based Agilent ( A ) dropped 2.6% in recent trading Friday.
