06:49 AM EDT, 10/24/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alaska Air Group (ALK) Alaska Airlines said early Friday it has restored operations following a "significant" IT outage on Thursday that brought a ground stop of flights for the airline and Horizon Air ( ALK ).

"We are working to get our operations back on track as quickly and safely as possible," according to Alaska Airlines.

The airline cancelled over 229 flights since Thursday afternoon, the carrier said, adding that it anticipates additional disruptions as it reshuffles aircraft and crew members across the network.

The outage did not impact Hawaiian Airlines operations, Alaska said.
