04:56 AM EDT, 03/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- BlackBerry (BB) said Tuesday it has opened a cybersecurity training center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The opening of the center marks a milestone in a deal between the Malaysian government and BlackBerry announced in November 2023, the company said.

The center will "help Malaysia and partners in the region better prevent, deter, and respond to cyber threats facing governments and organizations in the Indo-Pacific region," BlackBerry said.
