STOCKHOLM, Dec 9 (Reuters) - Swedish mining group
Boliden said on Monday it had agreed to buy the
Neves-Corvo mine in Portugal and the Zinkgruvan mine in Sweden
from Lundin Mining ( LUNMF ).
It said in a statement it would pay $1.3 billion, plus
contingent payments that can reach up to $150 million, for the
mines.
"The transaction, that considerably strengthens Boliden´s
mine production as well as internal zinc and copper concentrate
supply, is subject to customary regulatory approvals," it said.
