10:16 AM EDT, 05/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Brazil Potash ( GRO ) said Tuesday it signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Gera Center for a 28-year Build, Own, Operate, Transfer contract to provide modular diesel power generation for its Autazes project in Brazil.

Gera Center would shift about $33 million in upfront power generation capital costs to operating expenses over the contract term, generate an estimated $10 million in savings versus the project's pre-feasibility study, and provide modular diesel power for construction activities within 120 days of signing, the company said.

Gera Center would supply and operate 63 modular diesel generator sets with peak capacity of 20 megawatts to support construction activities and later serve as emergency backup power during mine operations, the company said. Ownership of the power infrastructure would transfer to Brazil Potash ( GRO ) at the end of the 28-year contract term, the company said.
