Cars.com Shares Rise After Higher Q1 Results

11:06 AM EDT, 05/09/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cars.com ( CARS ) shares were rising past 8% in recent Thursday trading following its Q1 results.

Earlier, the company reported a Q1 adjusted earnings of $0.43 per diluted share, up from $0.39 a year earlier.

Three analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $0.49.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was $180.2 million, up from $167.1 million a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $179.4 million.

The company said it expects Q2 revenue to be between $181 million and $183 million.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expect $182.1 million.
