08:49 AM EDT, 08/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Columbia Financial ( CLBK ) said Monday that it received regulatory approval for Columbia Bank's merger with Freehold Bank from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

The merger of Columbia Financial's ( CLBK ) subsidiaries is slated to close on Oct. 5, the holding company said.

The company's shares were up 4.2% in recent Monday premarket activity.
