Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing Due to Turbulence, 25 Injured

08:14 AM EDT, 07/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) Flight 56 from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam was forced to make an emergency landing in Minneapolis due to "significant turbulence" that sent 25 people to the hospital, the airline said late Wednesday.

The aircraft, an Airbus A330-900, landed safely at Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, Delta said in a statement. "Medical personnel met the flight upon arrival to evaluate customers and crew," it added.
