Analysts polled by FactSet expected a loss of $0.32.

Net sales for the quarter ended Sept. 30 were $9.97 billion, down from $10.88 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $10.22 billion.

Shares of the company were up 3.1% in recent premarket activity.
