AMSTERDAM, Sept 6 (Reuters) - The Dutch government on
Friday said it would begin requiring export licences for two
more of ASML's "Deep Ultraviolet" or DUV lithography tools, used
in making computer chips, in the name of national security.
The United States had previously claimed the right to
regulate those tools as part of its campaign to restrict access
to advanced technology by Chinese chipmakers, to slow their
technological and military advances.
ASML said in a statement that it did not expect the change
in oversight to impact earnings this year or in the future.
