08:53 AM EDT, 05/27/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Emerita Resources ( EMOTF ) on Tuesday provided the latest results on its metallurgical testing program for the La Romanera deposit at its Iberian Belt West Project in Spain.

Eighteen optimization tests of a thermal treatment process were performed. The results indicate an improved gold recovery of 81.5% for a 27% improvement over previous results (17% increase in gold recovery), a statement noted.

"The company's continuing investigation into the post-flotation process optimization has shown a dramatic improvement in gold recovery for the IBW Project," said Joaquin Merino, president. "If we were to calculate the impact these results on recovered metals, compared to the initial results (MRE) it would translate into an additional recovery of 159,000 ounces of gold."

The optimized metallurgical results would translate to a gold equivalent grade of 4.53 g/t, Merino added.
