Global Business Travel Unit Closes CWT Acquisition

09:22 AM EDT, 09/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Global Business Travel Group's ( GBTG ) American Express Global Business Travel unit said Tuesday it has completed the roughly $540 million acquisition of business travel and meetings services provider CWT.

The deal, announced in March 2024, will likely generate about $155 million in annual run-rate synergies within three years, the company said.

Global Business Travel ( GBTG ) added that it will offer an updated 2025 outlook to reflect the acquisition's impact on its earnings call in November.
