06:29 AM EST, 11/13/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Comcast ( CMCSA ) unit NBCUniversal is adding to its mix of sports offerings by launching a new cable sports channel, NBCSN, The Wall Street Journal reported Thursday.
The report said the network will feature sports already available on NBCU's Peacock service, including NBA, Big Ten football, golf, and Premier League soccer.
Google's (GOOG, GOOGL) YouTube TV, which has about 10 million subscribers, has agreed to carry the channel, while Comcast's ( CMCSA ) Xfinity will also include it, the Wall Street Journal said.
It added that NBCU is expected to close more distribution deals before year-end.
NBCU is finalizing a Major League Baseball deal to air games on NBC and Peacock starting next season, with some broadcasts also appearing on NBCSN, the Wall Street Journal said, citing people familiar with the matter.
The channel will also include sports talk programming such as The Dan Patrick Show, and NBCU plans to make NBCSN available in slimmed-down, genre-based pay-TV bundles, according to the report.
Comcast ( CMCSA ) did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
