01:36 PM EDT, 09/30/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google ( GOOG ) is open to sharing more data with website publishers in response to a court finding that the company illegally monopolized some advertising technology, Bloomberg News reported Tuesday, citing court testimony by a senior executive.
At a federal court hearing in Virginia, Glenn Berntson, a senior engineer with Google Ad Manager, said that giving publishers more information about how Google's ( GOOG ) ad server chooses ads to display would be "a good idea," while the specifics are "something we'd have to explore," the report said.
Berntson was responding to Justice Department lawyers in an antitrust trial with the government asking the judge to force Google ( GOOG ) to sell off parts of its ad tech business and increase transparency, the report said.
Google ( GOOG ) didn't immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
