06:21 AM EDT, 07/12/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Boeing ( BA ) is close to selling 20 to 30 of its 777X passenger jets to Korean Air for between $4 billion and $6 billion, Reuters reported Friday, citing unnamed industry sources.
The deal could be finalized as early as the Farnborough Airshow set on July 22 to 26, the report said.
An airline spokesperson said they are discussing with manufacturers but nothing has yet been confirmed, Reuters reported.
The potential deal for the Boeing ( BA ) planes follows Korean Air's order of 33 A350 jets from Airbus. Deal details still need to be discussed and there is no guarantee that the talks will be done by July 22 to 26, the report added.
Boeing ( BA ) and Korean Air did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' requests for comment.
