Market Chatter: Take-Two Interactive Software Lays off 80 Employees at Cloud Chamber Studio
Aug 20, 2025 12:35 PM

03:11 PM EDT, 08/20/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Take-Two Interactive Software ( TTWO ) has downsized workforce at its unit Cloud Chamber by a third, or 80 employees, as part of a reorganization, reported Bloomberg on Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter.

The studio, which is developing the next BioShock game, will delay the launch from a previously planned release between late 2026 and early 2027, sources told the media outlet.

Bloomberg said a company spokesperson shared an email sent to workers by 2K President David Ismailer, which stated that the decision was made to rework aspects that are core to a BioShock game and give it more time in development.

Take-Two Interactive Software ( TTWO ) did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
