Analysts polled by FactSet expected $6.62.
Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $5.08 billion, up from $4.90 billion a year earlier.
Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $4.94 billion.
The company increased its fiscal 2026 adjusted EPS guidance to now be between $29.60 and $30.40 from the prior guidance of between $28.40 and $29.40. Analysts surveyed by FactSet expect $29.20.
Parker-Hannifin ( PH ) also increased its fiscal 2026 total sales growth guidance to a range of 4% to 7% from the previous guidance of 2% to 5%. Analysts polled by FactSet expect $20.72 billion.
The company's shares were up 2% in recent Thursday premarket activity.
