The Times

- Getty Images ( GETY ) has called off its planned merger

with Shutterstock ( SSTK ) due to the UK competition regulator's

requirement to sell Shutterstock's ( SSTK ) editorial business as a

condition for approval.

- Britain's water company United Utilities faced

criticism from proxy adviser ISS over a proposal to grant CEO

Louise Beardmore a 435,000 pound ($578,028) annual share

allowance.

The Guardian

- The European Union's car industry has called for the UK to

be fully included in new "made in Europe" rules that threaten to

shut out British manufacturers from their biggest export

market.

- Lloyds Banking Group ( LYG ) has announced it is axing

the Halifax brand.
