07:40 AM EDT, 10/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Rekor Systems ( REKR ) said Tuesday it was awarded a multi-year contract from the Georgia Department of Transportation to provide its Rekor Discover platform and Data-as-a-Service offerings to modernize traffic data collection across the state.

The company said the contract, which may extend up to seven years at the department's discretion, is available to local governments and agencies statewide without the need for additional bidding.

The agreement is expected to generate more than $50 million in new revenue, with the total value potentially exceeding $100 million, the company added.

Shares of the company were up 18.8% in Tuesday's premarket activity.
