Deal Facilitated by Viking Mergers & Acquisitions

MIAMI, Oct. 9, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Soccer 5 USA, the community-driven soccer facility operator founded by the Georgeson family, has been acquired by Wonder Franchises, a growing operator of multi-unit franchise concepts.

In 2008, the Georgeson family moved from Scotland to South Florida. They founded Soccer 5 with a vision to create high-quality, small-sided soccer facilities that would make the game more accessible to all ages and skill levels. After years of building a strong community brand and securing long-term municipal partnerships, the Georgesons determined it was time to partner with a larger group positioned to scale their efforts further. Through this acquisition, the company aims to accelerate municipal expansion, increase its national reach, and solidify the brand in the Southeast.

"This was a great match of vision and opportunity. We're excited to see how this partnership with Wonder Franchises fuels Soccer 5's expansion across the Southeast and beyond," said Larry "Tripp" Lawson III, Partner, Viking Mergers & Acquisitions. Lawson facilitated the transaction alongside Senior Advisor Mike McCoy and Associate Advisor Tom Murphy.

"From the beginning, Viking M&A demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a commitment to understanding our vision for Soccer 5," said Scott Georgeson, Soccer 5 Co-founder & President. "Their guidance and expertise made the process seamless, and we're grateful for their role in helping us find the right partner."

In a recent press release, Adam Lewin, Wonder Franchises CEO, remarked:

"We are thrilled to invest in Soccer 5 and partner with the Georgeson family and their team to bring small-sided soccer to more communities across the U.S. What drew us to Soccer 5 was not only the strength of its business model but also the enthusiasm of its players and passion for community." "We are thankful to the Viking team for their help in getting this deal closed," Lewin added, "and we're very excited to work with the Georgesons to grow both the corporate-unit footprint, as well as the franchise system."
