11:04 AM EDT, 10/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- SolarEdge Technologies ( SEDG ) said Monday its photovoltaic inverters have achieved "early certification" in the process to comply with cybersecurity requirements under the European Commission's new regulatory framework for radio equipment.
The company said a third-party evaluation of its inverters, undertaken by product certification organization Kiwa, has been completed before the New Radio Equipment Directive Article 3.3 requirements for cybersecurity in Europe take effect in August next year.
The regulatory framework covers all applicable Internet of Things products sold in the region.
Shares of the company were down more than 3% in recent trading.
