Travelers Q3 Core Income, Revenue Rise; Shares Gain Pre-Bell

07:25 AM EDT, 10/17/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Travelers (TRV) reported Q3 core income Thursday of $5.24 per diluted share, up from $1.95 a year earlier.

Analysts polled by Capital IQ expected $3.59.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $11.90 billion, up from $10.64 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by Capital IQ expected $10.57 billion.

The company maintained its quarterly dividend at $1.05 per share, payable Dec. 31 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 10.

Travelers shares rose more than 7% in recent premarket activity.
