Ford Motor ( F ) said Monday it sold 172,756 vehicles in October, a 15.2% gain from the same period in 2023.
Electric vehicle sales in October were down 8.3% at 6,264, while hybrid and internal combustion vehicles were up 38.5% and 14.1% to 18,224 vehicles and 148,268 vehicles, respectively, the auto maker said.
Ford said its truck sales were up 29.2% from the same period a year earlier with 100,847 vehicles sold, while SUV sales were 2.3% higher with 69,221 units sold. The company sold 37% fewer cars in October at 2,688 units, compared with 4,270 units a year earlier.
The Ford Bronco led SUV sales with a 104.7% increase and 9,837 units sold, while the Ford Ranger pickup led truck sales with a 1054.7% year-over-year increase and 5,231 units sold in October.
Shares of the company were up 3.1% in recent Monday trading.
