Vicor Says Some Power Modules, Computing Systems Imported Into US Infringe on Patents
Oct 2, 2024 11:39 PM

11:45 AM EDT, 09/30/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Vicor ( VICR ) said the US International Trade Commission issued an initial determination stating that some power converter modules and computing systems containing those modules imported into the US infringe on the company's patents.

"The initial determination also found that respondents to the investigation, including contract manufacturers of computing systems, do not possess a license to practice any claim of the asserted patents," the company said Monday in a statement.

Administrative Law Judge Cameron Elliot of the ITC issued the initial determination. Vicor ( VICR ) didn't name the respondents to the probe.

The ITC may issue an order blocking importation into the US of computing systems containing the modules as well as cease and desist orders stopping their sales in the country, the company said.
