Willis Lease Finance Signs $363.9 Million Engine Purchase, Leaseback Deal With Pratt & Whitney

10:16 AM EDT, 06/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Willis Lease Finance ( WLFC ) said Tuesday it has signed a deal with RTX (RTX) unit Pratt & Whitney for the purchase and leaseback of up to 15 PW1100G-JM GTF aircraft engines.

The financing company said that all purchases, valued at about $363.9 million according to Pratt & Whitney list prices, are expected to be completed by Dec. 31.

The company said the engines have 17% lower fuel consumption and are certified to operate on up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel, with successful tests on 100% SAF.

Willis Lease Finance ( WLFC ) shares were up 2.2% in recent trading.
