02:58 PM EDT, 10/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The preliminary Michigan Sentiment index fell slightly to 55.0 in October from 55.1 in September.

According to Michigan, consumers' assessment of current conditions improved in October, while the near-term outlook deteriorated as high prices and weaker job prospects weighed on their minds.

Michigan said that inflation expectations were little changed.

The Q3 GDPnow estimate from the St. Louis Fed is for a 0.42% gain, revised up from a 0.18% gain reported last week.
