Monsoon is set to cover the entire country by weekend with June, the first month of monsoon ending with 6 percent below normal rainfall.

It almost is normal but slightly less than what the India Meteorological Department (IMD) or the Skymet really had projected out.

IMD says that they are expecting a third straight year of normal monsoon and at 97 percent of the long period average. Skymet also has gone on to say that this perhaps is going to be the best monsoon that we have seen in last three years. Forecast of course have been positive.
