Tata Motors corporate communications head Suresh Rangarajan has been asked to proceed on leave, over allegations linked to the #MeToo movement.

Victims are publicly sharing their horrific experiences on Twitter under the hashtag #MeToo. For Rangarajan, screenshots had been shared alleging that he sexually harassed young girls and is a repetitive offender.
As soon as the screenshot of a chat with the Tata top executive was shared, many women claimed that they were also harassed by him.

Several known names have been alleged for sexually harassing and/or assaulting women, such as famous actor Alok Nath, minister of state for external affairs MJ Akbar, comedian Utsav Chakraborty, director Vikram Bahl, among others.
The #MeToo campaign sparked last year in the US after women came forward and publicly shared their horrific experience with producer Harvey Weinstein, where he was alleged to have sexually harassed and assaulted them.
