Research Alert: CFRA Keeps Hold Opinion On Shares Of Pembina Pipeline Corp.
May 26, 2025 7:52 AM

11:45 AM EDT, 05/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

Our 12-month target price of CAD56, cut CAD4, reflects a 10.5x multiple of enterprise value to projected 2026 EBITDA, in line with PPL's historical forward average. Our DCF model, which takes a longer-term view on intrinsic value, comes up with a similar estimate. We cut our 2025 EPS estimate by CAD0.05 to CAD3.00 and 2026's by CAD0.04 to CAD3.26. The company continues to advance its NGL and natural gas infrastructure strategy, notably through the Cedar LNG project, which we believe offers compelling value given its proximity to Asian markets. We do see some risk on trade tensions between the U.S. and China, not because it directly affects Pembina's prospects (if anything, the direct effect is probably a posiitve), but rather, an indirect negative. To the degree that the China economy suffers as a result of trade tensions, it could impinge on demand for NGLs, which might weigh on demand for PPL's help in relieving congestion in takeaway capacity.
