Research Alert: CFRA Lowers Opinion On Shares Of Tapestry, Inc. To Hold From Buy
Jul 11, 2025 8:38 AM

11:20 AM EDT, 07/11/2025 (MT Newswires) -- CFRA, an independent research provider, has provided MT Newswires with the following research alert. Analysts at CFRA have summarized their opinion as follows:

We maintain our 12-month price target of $93, based on 15.5x our FY 26 (Jun.) EPS estimate and well above its three-year average forward P/E multiple of 10.5x, reflecting our view that the company deserves a higher multiple due to its improving fundamentals and relative performance to peers in recent years. We maintain our FY 25 and FY 26 EPS estimates of $5.00 and $6.00, respectively. Shares of Tapestry, Inc. ( TPR ) have been on a tear, up more than 50% since the April 9 and driving the forward P/E multiple from 13.5x to almost 19x. We believe the company deserves the multiple expansion; however, we now see the valuation as fair and believe shares are due for consolidation. The company continues to execute well, generating strong free cash flow which it is using to repurchase shares aggressively, and investors are finally catching on. We lower our opinion on what we see as the fair valuation in a very volatile trade environment and the stable but weak consumer outlook.
