Broad-market exchange-traded funds IWM and IVV declined. Actively traded Invesco QQQ Trust (QQQ) was down 1.6%.
US benchmark equity indexes fell Tuesday after warnings of a correction from major Wall Street banks coincided with concern that the valuation of so-called AI trade beneficiaries is lofty.
Energy
iShares US Energy ETF (IYE) and the Energy Select Sector SPDR (XLE) each lost about 1.2%.
Technology
Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) shed 2%; iShares US Technology ETF (IYW) and iShares Expanded Tech Sector ETF (IGM) also declined.
SPDR S&P Semiconductor (XSD) was down 3.4%, and iShares Semiconductor (SOXX) fell 2.5%.
Financial
The Financial Select Sector SPDR (XLF) rose 0.4%. Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) added 1.2%, and its bearish counterpart, Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ), slipped 1.2%.
Commodities
Crude oil dipped 0.7%, and the United States Oil Fund (USO) shed 0.5%. Natural gas rose 1.8%, and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) gained 2.3%.
Gold on Comex fell 1.1%, and SPDR Gold Shares (GLD) declined 1.3%. Silver dropped 1.6%, and iShares Silver Trust (SLV) was down 1.4%.
Consumer
Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR (XLP) eased 0.1%. The Vanguard Consumer Staples ETF (VDC) and iShares Dow Jones US Consumer Goods (IYK) were little changed.
Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR (XLY) fell 1.3%. VanEck Retail ETF (RTH) was up fractionally, and SPDR S&P Retail (XRT) dipped 1.4%.
Health Care
Health Care Select Sector SPDR (XLV) was up 0.2%, and iShares US Healthcare (IYH) and Vanguard Health Care ETF (VHT) were little changed; iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was down 0.3%.
Industrial
Industrial Select Sector SPDR (XLI) fell 1.2%. Vanguard Industrials Index Fund (VIS) and iShares US Industrials (IYJ) were in the red.
Cryptocurrency
In midday activity, bitcoin (BTC-USD) shed 5.1%. Among cryptocurrency ETFs, ProShares Bitcoin ETF ( BITO ) dipped 5.2%, ProShares Ether ETF ( EETH ) declined 6%, and ProShares Bitcoin & Ether Market Cap Weight ETF ( BETH ) was down 5%.
