Indian bourses closed on a higher note for the third consecutive day with Nifty above 11,000 level.

Sensex was up 193.56 points at 36,636.10 while Nifty was up 65.50 points at 11,053. Sectors that pushed the market towards the green territory are infrastructure, metals, pharmaceuticals and energy.

Around 1,636 shares advanced, 1,025 shares declined and 147 shares remain unchanged.
