Looking at a 15% topline growth this year, says Rossari Biotech
Aug 25, 2020 3:17 AM

Rossari Biotech sees a good demand for sanitisers, disinfectants and handwashes with the company expecting to maintain a margin at 15-18 percent going ahead, said Edward Menezes, promoter and executive chairman and Sunil Chari, promoter and managing director of the pharma major. In fact, cleaning solutions and sanitisers form 47 percent of the company's total revenues.

Rossari Biotech's margins expanded due to lower expenses, Menezes told CNBC-TV18.

“The increase in EBITDA margin was specifically a one-time affair. In Q2 we have reached the pre-COVID-19 figures. Therefore we are confident that we will maintain the same EBITDA margins, the guidance that we have given is between 15 percent and 18 percent.”

Menezes said that the demand for sanitizers, disinfectants, handwashes had gone up quite a bit.

When asked what percentage of the company’s overall revenue comes from this space, he replied, “In the last year, 2019-2020, this business was 47 percent of our market, the total share of our business. We see a perceptible uptick in this business because we lost some sales in the textile specialty as well as animal health and nutrition business during the first quarter as well as during April and May there was a lot of poor demand as the companies were completely closed there. Therefore I can see a share of the business going 50 percent plus for the home personal care.”

In terms of topline growth, Menezes said, “Internally we have a target of about Rs 690 crore for this coming year, the year 2020 – at least a 15 percent growth.”
