The Indian markets are likely to open sharply lower on Thursday as sell-off in global equities continues after the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus outbreak a global pandemic.

At 7 am, the SGX Nifty was trading 382.45 points or 3.66 percent lower at 10,068.30, indicating a negative start for the Sensex and Nifty50.
