Prime Minister Mark Carney Posts On Meeting With Canada Execs From GM, Ford and Stellantis
Jul 2, 2025 2:03 PM

04:40 PM EDT, 07/02/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Prime Minister Mark Carney has posted after meeting Wednesday with Canadian executives from GM, Ford and Stellantis amid tariffs pressure on the auto sector from the United States.

Carney writes: "Thanks to the leadership of the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers' Association and its member CEOs for the important meeting today.

"As we negotiate with the United States, our focus is clear: getting the best deal for Canadian workers and industries.

"In parallel, we're supporting workers, diversifying our trading partners, and growing our industries here at home through a made-in-Canada supply chain. The CVMA partnership is critical to that work."
