09:41 AM EDT, 06/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Robinhood (HOOD) and AppLovin ( APP ) shares were falling 7.3% and 5.5% respectively in early Monday trading after S&P Dow Jones Indices didn't make any changes to the S&P 500 on Friday.

Media reports said earlier that Robinhood and AppLovin ( APP ) were likely additions to the benchmark index. The companies' shares had increased in recent weeks on hopes from investors related to a possible inclusion in the S&P 500, Reuters said.

Investor's Business Daily reported Monday that S&P Dow Jones Indices made no announcement but told several publications that there were no additions or deletions to the S&P 500.
