08:55 AM EDT, 09/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Consumer stocks rose in Thursday's premarket hours with the Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLP) 0.2% higher and the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLY) recently up 1.1%.

Starbucks ( SBUX ) is removing Princi brand baked goods at its high-end Roastery and Reserve cafes, Bloomberg reported, citing an internal memo. Starbucks ( SBUX ) shares were up over 3% pre-bell.
