09:03 AM EDT, 04/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks fell premarket Thursday as the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) recently declined by 2.3%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 3.3% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 1.2% lower.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 2.9% at $60.55 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil fell by 2.8% to $63.66 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 3.3% lower at $3.69 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Equinor ( EQNR ) said it is establishing a new power business by combining its renewables portfolio with flexible power assets from its marketing, midstream, and processing business. Shares of Equinor ( EQNR ) fell by over 2% pre-bell.
