01:24 PM EST, 11/14/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stocks were higher Friday afternoon, with the NYSE Energy Sector Index rising 1.5% and the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) adding 1.6%.
The Philadelphia Oil Service Sector Index was climbing 2.2%, and the Dow Jones US Utilities Index was up 0.3%.
Front-month West Texas Intermediate crude oil rose 2.5% to $60.16 a barrel, and the global benchmark Brent crude contract advanced 2.2% to $64.40 a barrel. Henry Hub natural gas futures fell 2.7% to $4.52 per 1 million BTU.
In corporate news, Woodside Energy ( WDS ) and Commonwealth LNG are expected to sign deals to supply US liquefied natural gas to Saudi Aramco when Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman visits Washington next week, Reuters reported. Woodside shares rose 1.2%.
