09:07 AM EDT, 03/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Energy stock were leaning lower pre-bell Wednesday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) declining by 0.2%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 0.1% lower and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 2%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was up 3.4% at $86.47 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil gained 3% to $90.43 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 2.5% higher at $3.10 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Diamondback Energy ( FANG ) shares were down more than 3% after the company said a secondary offering of 11 million of its common shares by SGF FANG has been priced and will generate about $1.9 billion in gross proceeds.
