03:52 PM EDT, 05/11/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Financial stocks were lower in late Monday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) each shedding about 0.3%.

The Philadelphia Housing Index shed 1.1%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) rose 0.3%.

Bitcoin (BTC-USD) added 0.7% to $81,990, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose 4.6 basis points to 4.41%.

In corporate news, Brookfield Asset Management ( BAM ) said Monday that it will invest $500 million in OpenAI Deployment Company. Brookfield shares were down 1.7%.
