08:52 AM EDT, 08/29/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were advancing premarket Thursday with the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLV) rising 0.2% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) recently up 0.7%.

Cooper (COO) shares rose 7% after it reported higher fiscal Q3 non-GAAP earnings and revenue compared with a year earlier. The company also raised its guidance for fiscal 2024 non-GAAP earnings per share.
