Sector Update: Health Care Stocks Lean Lower Premarket Tuesday

09:19 AM EDT, 08/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Health care stocks were leaning lower premarket Tuesday with the Health Care Select Sector SPDR Fund ( XLV ) down 0.3% and the iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) recently declining by 0.5%.

Henry Schein (HSIC) shares were down more than 4% after the company reported a decline in fiscal Q2 non-GAAP earnings.

Pfizer ( PFE ) stock was up more than 2% after the drugmaker posted higher Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue, and raised its 2025 earnings per share outlook.

Zoetis ( ZTS ) shares were up more than 6% after the animal health company reported higher Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue, and raised its 2025 outlook.
